Monday LIMELIGHT Open Mic kicks ass
Monday nites come out to the Limelight, 2718 N St Mary's St, San Antonio, Texas 78212 and have a few drinks and enjoy the happening open mic event organized by Nina Diaz, herself a force in the local music scene. Veteran vocalist and guitar in Girl In A Coma, and now also touring with her own band. Ms Diaz is an accomplished organizer and obviously puts herself out to make the weekly collection of San Antonio's local talent pool come off well, personally jumping in to see the musicians are set up, plugged in and that Limelight's new sound and light systems are right on!
The crowds are all beautiful, groovy persons relaxing to the music and the social scene in the newly renovated club; and its welcoming patio tables draw a cross section of local artists, students and fun lovers of all stripes in the cool of the evening, and all with no cover charge. I hope these pix give you a taste of the card last night. Don't miss out on the open mic event that will wipe that Monday taint right out of your week!
