Comic Conventions can muster a mighty din as intrepid comic artists serenely sketch the fan's imagination, often before her very eyes! Documented here is a very easy pace, and a mild example of volume, but good for our purposes at hand. I was learning from Topper at the time he was learning from Val. I only met him a few times, always briefly. Even so I have always remembered him as an example of dedication and diversity of interests.
